Item numbers 1 through 1144 in auction 209
Item Description
Items are .75" to 2-3/8" tall. Largest has hanger reading "Manila For Maine" with text around his portrait "Admiral Did It." Second is two-piece aluminum pin with his portrait on front and reverse showing Maine. Third is brass with hanger at top missing an inserted paper American flag in the shape of a bow. The medallion within brass frame below reads "Remember The Maine." This has some age on each side but is still Good. Fourth is small brass token reading "Remember The Maine" on the front with reverse showing logo of fraternal group Maccabees surrounded by text "Celebration June 98 Detroit, Mich." Next is "Sterling" medallion with loop at top and showing the battleship "Maine." Blank reverse except for the "Sterling" designation. Last is stickpin "The Maine" plus a set of dates "Feb. 15, 1898" and "May 1, 1898." Couple of pinpoints of oxidation but minor. Numerous scarce items.
