Item Description
Pair of 2.5 to 2.75" tall jig-sawed wood figures representing a man and a woman both hand painted and both with initials "RWR." With these comes a photocopy of the original cards they were sold on giving the address in New York of the Russian War Relief group. The man was named "Gregor" and the woman was named "Katinka." Text on the cards noted that 60% of sales went "For Bandages For Wounded Russian Soldiers." Each of the figures is NM. With them comes a 2" tall die-cut cardboard tag depicting a victory symbol beneath a candle and above the inscription "Russian War Relief Inc." Two light creases across the candle but still quite clean and complete with the original tag string. A rare group.
