Item Description
Kellogg's produced several cut-out premium masks on their cereal boxes during the 1950s. Included in this lot are 12 cut-out masks (10 different designs) measuring 6.5x8" on average. These are - Devil, two different Pirates, Fat Man w/mustache, Tiger (2), Ghoul, stereotypical African Native (2), Fu Manchu, Indian and Baboon. Masks have been neatly cut out, but noses and eyes remain uncut. Some scattered edge wear but Exc. overall. Masks come w/two ad proofs, one on newsprint for "Phoney Faces" that shows most masks offered here as well as four masks for Howdy Doody, Clarabelle, Dilly Dally and Princess Summerfall Winterspring. Proof measures 9-5/8x11.25" and aside from upper left corner tip wear (which does not affect images or text and could be easily matted out) is VF. "New 3-D Masks" proof measures 13.5x16.5" and is on glossy paper. Ad was designed for Halloween use and is mostly bw w/orange highlights. Margins show lt. wear w/staple holes in upper left corner. VF.
