Auction #209 - Part II
Item numbers 1145 through 2874 in auction 209
Item Description
Lot of four, all featuring original mixed media art for 1960s Collegeville masks as featured in their retailer's catalogs of the time period. Each is either identical to what was produced or altered slightly for the final production mask. Included are - "Vampy Bat, Skeleton, Oriental Princess" and "Fortune Teller." Skeleton mask has additional image of spider on forehead. Oriental Princess aside, each is on acetate sheets measuring between 8.5x11" and 9.5x12". Princess is cut-out acetate sheet mounted on thin cardboard. Margins show moderate wear w/several chips and small tears, but these issues do not affect art, which could be easily matted for a Exc. display. Unique. From the Collegeville Archives.
