Item Description
Thin art boards each have 5x17-1/8” India ink image area w/King Features Syndicate stickers. Mandrake is in total of seven of 11 panels. 1963 pair includes July 6 w/Mandrake and Narda trying to help police chief who was arrested and Sept. 16 w/Mandrake and Narda in a trance while visiting Theron in Tibet. Feb. 14, 1964 has confused Narda thinking she was married. All are unsigned, but by Phil Davis who did the strip from its beginning in 1934 until he passed away late in 1964. Portions of applied zip-a-tone dot pattern for shading have usual age yellowing, as does one copyright sticker, image areas otherwise Exc. Well drawn examples.
