10.25x14.25x.5" deep box contains complete parts for Einson-Freeman Co. Inc. game. ©1933 KFS. Box lid has great graphics of Popeye, Wimpy and Olive Oyl on wooden raft, Popeye punching attacking shark. Lid notes that game originally sold for 25¢. Lid shows wear w/partial corner split and .5 side panel tear, box tray has tape repairs/reinforcements at corners. VG/Fine. Game includes 14x20" thick cardboard playing board which is map of island where Popeye gets shipwrecked. Many comical scenes ensue showing Popeye punching lion, Popeye besting natives, punching monkey and wrestling cow as Wimpy dreams of hamburgers. .25" scuff at right center margin, o/w NM. Comes w/generic spinner and cardboard strip containing four .75" dia. playing pieces showing Popeye, Olive, Wimpy and Olive's brother Castor Oyl. These pieces have been punched out but as w/rest of game, are Exc. and appear unused. Comes w/original 7x10" direction sheet which has repeated illustration that is featured on box lid. Exc.
