Auction #209 - Part II
Item numbers 1145 through 2874 in auction 209
Item Description
For a number of consecutive years in the early 1900s this family held its reunion at "Kutztown Park." The larger button here is from 1906 and was the 7th event while the smaller button is from 1908 and would have been the 9th event. The larger has open back with bar pin and paper of Weber Badge, Reading. This shows adult and young bears standing around an amusement park loop-the-loop ride with a bear at the top of the ride upside down in a car. This one is NM displaying Mint. Second showing three bears accented by bow, top hat and cane displays Mint although on reverse there is a .25" cello split plus a .5" length where the cello did not tuck under the metal rim. Neither of these reverse small defects make much of an impact on the front appearance. There is a tiny 1/16" cello split on the top rim edge but again not showing from the front which displays Mint. A scarce very limited issue pair with great artwork.
