Item Description
3" from the early 1950s with metal back and bar pin. The Hamm's Bear was first used in a campaign by their advertising agency seeking to promote the superior cleanliness of Hamm's beer due to its clear water and production in pristine Minnesota known as "The Enchanted Northland." The Bear made his first appearance as a rather clumsy dancer in 1952. The bear's name was "Sascha" and he was used for the next three decades seen frequently on commercials as the beer company sponsored the Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins in the late 1950s to early 1960s. This one shows him and a younger bear both in Indian head dresses and promoting "Hamm's Indians Drum & Bugle Corps./St. Paul." Only example we've seen. NM displaying Mint.
