Item Description
11x16" die-cut cardboard countertop display has an attached airplane spotter premium on the front and cardboard easel on back. Issued by Libby Foods. ©1946 F.A.S. Display mentions spotters were available for two labels from Libby's Tomato Juice plus 10¢. Airplane spotter is attached to display in a manner that it appears as if Terry is holding it including a die-cut thumb at the top where spotter is marked "Hold Here." Spotter includes illustrations of Terry, Pat, April, Burma and Connie plus attached disc that features silhouette images of 16 airplanes. For actual premium, see following item #2652. There is a .5" tear at lower right on Terry's neck, other lt. scattered edge wear, slight trace of dust soiling, a number of pinpoint tan age dots although mostly concentrated to sky bkg. area around text "How To Get It." Still has a nice, bright appearance and easel is unused. Fine. As shown in Hake's Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia, there are only three known examples of this display. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold accompanied by a letter to that effect from Gordon Gold.
