Item Description
28.5" tall 1939 metal rack by Atlas Wire Products has total of 30 slots that hold about 25 postcards each, both vertically and horizontally. VF. c.1930s-early 1950s. Seven full boxes holding approximately 675 plastic sleeved cards each that represent mostly the continental states in the U.S.A. at that time. Cards are mostly linen w/small town America rural scenic views. People, wildlife and automobiles are on some, but no big cities are shown. All have individual town or village name and mostly unique, though images may be the same for a different town in different state. Most are made by NYCE. Many are postally used, a small handful have scrapbook remnants on reverse. Majority of fronts are clean and bright w/sharp corners. Overall VF to Exc. A huge incredible instant collection representing a more innocent time in our nation's history.
