Auction #209 - Part II
Item numbers 1145 through 2874 in auction 209
Item Description
1-9/16" tall die-cut shield with portrait of Lone Ranger at center surrounded by burst design in brass luster contrasting to the brass luster around the outer edge. Badge came post-war c. 1948 with a boxed lasso by company called "Round-Up Products." The badge came with either a pair of tabs on the back or a soldered horizontal bar pin and in this case this piece has the bar pin. Very scarce as distribution was apparently limited to the Philadelphia area. Reverse upper brass is brighter where an old sticker was cleaned off, but front is gorgeous NM. Probably the best designed Lone Ranger metal badge.
