Item Description
The construction and overall design of this ring is identical to our previous item. The differences are as follow. The ring as issued in 1935 has steer head on one side and six-gun on the other. On this ring both side panels are totally smooth with no illustrations at all. On the issued ring the top has "TM" brand superimposed over a checkerboard design and that also appears on this ring. However as issued the top edges are inscribed "Tom Mix Ralston Straight Shooters" and none of those words appear on the metal square surrounding the checkerboard logo. This ring has bright brass finish all over but not quite the highly lustrous plating that was applied to the rings being issued. Condition is Mint as made. The only example known to us. Like the rare Mix prototype #1341, this ring has been in our consignors collection since the 1970s.
