Item Description
This item came with a 6.5x8.5" certificate issued by Ovaltine in 1941. Certificate included illustration at top center of 24 karat gold-plated "Pilot's Badge." This "Honorary Pilot's Badge" is 2-3/8" long with finely detailed center shield flanked by feathered wings. Bar pin on reverse. No text but fully documented in Hake Pop Culture Guide as Capt. Midnight CMD-38 with guide values of $150 Good, $350 Fine, $1000 NM. Among the rarest Capt. Midnight premiums.
