Item Description
1-1/8" black on cream litho from 1930s reads "Journal-Transcript Funnies Club Tune In WMBD." Issued by Peoria Illinois newspaper and radio with 15 different known for various comic strip characters. Also see Nancy #1210. Tarzan is one of the rarest and certainly most valuable in the set. Typical and nearly microscopic craze lines in the paint with very slightest scuff above "W" of call letters. Top edge has tiny, shallow 1/8" dia. dent barely seen in reflected light. Overall, Near VF condition and displays clean and NM with 99% paint. Our 5th in five decades. Our last exceeded $1800.00.
