Copyright 1940 The Lone Ranger Inc. Back of first page has “Jun 3 1940” ink stamp date. 42 typewritten sheets, each 8.5x11”, for booklet in same format as “How The Lone Ranger Captured Silver”, previous item #2227. This manuscript is for 15 chapters whereas the actual booklet wound up being 11 chapters. Chapter titles include: Tonto’s Ingenuity, White Friends, A Dying Texas Ranger”. Top sheet has light creasing, pages have some corrections. Overall Fine/VF. Striker (1903-1962) shared credit w/George Trendle as the creator of the Lone Ranger. He began work on the Lone Ranger radio show in 1932, eventually averaging 150+ scripts a year. He was head of the WXYZ script dept. and also wrote the comic strip, and Green Hornet, and Sgt. Preston radio shows. Great reading. From the archives of Detroit’s WXYZ and obtained by former long time station employee Jiam DesJardin.
