c. late 1930s. 4-5/8x6.25” card has image of Lone Ranger on front w/large head and die-cut mask. Cartoon Tonto at left smoking peace pipe says “Ugh! You Not Lone Ranger Feller!” Card opens to reveal photo w/text “Tonto Is Right. I’m Not The Lone Ranger. I’m Just Your Old Friend Geo. W. Trendle” w/greeting. Exc. Superb design. Limited distribution. First we’ve seen in our 47 years. From the archives of Detroit’s WXYZ and obtained by former long time station employee Jiam DesJardin.
