c. 1914. 7x9” stiff art board has India ink illustration of an innocent-looking Buster Brown holding an axe behind his back with halo over his head as Tige sits behind him and winks. Illustration has been boldly inscribed in black ink “This Is For Gertrude Moffett With The Love Of Buster And His Dad R.F. Outcault.” Margins of art are heavily aged but could be matted out for an Exc. display. Nice art by the legendary creator of Buster Brown, the Yellow Kid, and Pore Lil Mose.
