13x13" w/five full color single-sided cardboard pages has front cover art of bandits holding up stagecoach w/inset art at upper left of Gene Autry and Champion. Back cover has art of Gene w/kids on horseback doing lasso tricks. ©1941 Merrill Publishing Co. No. 4802. Covers have scattered dust soiling and pinch creases along spine and staples show oxidation, but book's binding remains tight and book remains unused w/o any loose perforation. Covers are Fine overall, but interior pages remain clean and VF/Exc. Choice color and art. Scarce.
