Item Description
Art is for Silly Symphony cartoon released February 24, 1939 directed by Dick Rickard. 5-3/810" sheet of animation paper has second sheet measuring 5x9.25" glued in center as done by artist. Wonderful image done in lead and colored pencil has wolf dressed as mermaid on moss-covered rock in water w/two pigs mostly submerged in water. Wolf is tickling chin of Fiddler pig and saying “Koochy Koochy” as Fifer pig watches. Art has pencil caption at upper left “I’m Little Lorelei, My Dears- I Sing To Charm Your Pretty Ears!” Art is signed “Horvath” in lead pencil at lower right. Margins of image area have gray show through to .5" depth from glue on reverse. Art is Exc. A superior example of Horvath’s work which is seldom found signed.
