Item Description
12.5x21.25" first and only printing poster for Nov. 20, 1973 concert at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. This concert began the US tour in support of 1973's "Quadrophenia" album. It was also this concert that drummer Keith Moon, after over-indulging in horse tranquilizers, passed out on stage and Pete Townshend asked the audience for a drummer, resulting in 16 year-old fan Scott Halpin playing drums for the rest of the concert, a jam featuring "Smokestack Lightning", "Spoonful" and "Naked Eye". Art by David Singer features design including cat and large owl nesting amidst a grand castle. Classic poster for one of The Who's most memorable concerts. Scattered handling wear w/some creases. VF. Historic rock and roll concert poster.
