Item Description
17.5x22.5" poster proof on stiff paper. In 1994, Metallica formed their "Metalliclub" fan club, which offered exclusive items to its members. This poster was the first exclusive item offered. Poster features art by Mark DeVito and features a parody of Quaker's "Cap'n Crunch" cereal. Center of box design is dominated by images of the band, each wearing Cap'n Crunch-like hat. Top of poster has Metallica's logo, under which you can see an altered image of the Quaker mascot, sporting an eyepatch. Poster was produced in an edition of 5,000, but this is more limited "Artist's Proof" edition of just 70 that lacks plate signatures of the band. Poster has been signed in black felt tip pen at bottom left by DeVito, who has added "Artist's Proof" notation at bottom right w/"68/70" edition number. Poster proof has been rolled and has just slight trace of wear at top center margin. Exc.
