Stunning 7.5x9-3/8" matte finish photo w/"Autry" photographer's mark at lower right has lengthy and bold inscription in blue ink. Inscription reads "To Wonderful Victoria - The Light In The Window - The Love Light In My Eyes - The Love Of My Heart Will Always Be Burning For You. - Tom." The Victoria in question is Mix's wife Victoria Forde, who became a star of Western silent films, frequently performing opposite Mix. A personal relationship developed between the two and, in 1917, they signed w/the Fox Film Corporation where they continued to perform together. She became his fourth wife in 1918. The following year she gave up her film career to stay at home w/their daughter, Thomasina. Photo has some lt. corner tip wear/aging but could be easily matted for an Exc. display.
