6.25x9.25" hardcover has dust jacket w/comic strip panels on front and photo of author Martin Sheridan at typewriter on back. Copyright 1942 Hale, Cushman and Flint. Contains 304 b/w pages on high quality stiff paper with numerous self-caricatures, specialty drawings and published examples. Includes Superman, Krazy Kat, Walt Disney, Tarzan, Popeye, Dick Tracy, Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, Blondie, many others. Likely a first edition. Dust jacket has bit of edge wear, inside flaps have corner clips. Still bright and near Fine. Outside page edges have a few moisture marks, book is otherwise clean, tight and VF. One of the nicest books ever done on cartoonists with wonderful specialty art.
