Made by Chein in the 1930s but at the time Ohio Art held the license for Disney sand pails and therefore Chein was forced to produce this product, featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse-like characters. Scenes include Minnie Mouse smacking Mickey Mouse in the nose w/beach ball as well as male and female Terrytoon-like Krazy Kat characters picnicking. A sand pail is shown alongside their picnic blanket. Clarabelle Cow-like character in bkg. Pail has moderate, even aging and some scattered small spots of oxidation, though this is more evident on pail interior. Rims of pail shows wear, w/scattered rust soiling to bottom rim. Fine.
