Item Description
8.5x11" program for Aug. 14-16, 1964 jazz festival that took place at Crosley Field in Cincinnati, OH. This was the third annual festival and featured Count Basie, Chet Baker, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Jimmy Smith and Stan Getz, all of whom are pictured within program. It was later this same year that Coltrane recorded his masterpiece "A Love Supreme." Other performers (not pictured within) included - Lou Rawls, Aretha Franklin, Duke Ellington and the Dave Brubeck Quartet. One page features photo of Cassius Clay (aka Muhammad Ali). Program has moderate handling wear w/pinch creases to spine and creasing at top and bottom of spine. Fine overall. Great content. Scarce.
