Performers include - Cozy Cole (Dec. 3, 1958), who was hired by CBS radio as part of the network's first mixed race orchestra; Sonny Stitt (March 9, 1959), regarded as one of the best saxophonists of his generation, recording over 100 albums; Louis Jordan (April 18, 1960) And His Tympany Five (Jordan was known as "King Of The Jukebox) and Buddy Johnson (Jan. 28, 1957), jazz/blues pianist and bandleader.
