Item Description
"The Vampire Happening" is a 1971 West German comedy/horror film directed by Freddie Francis. An American actress inherits a castle in Transylvania. What she does not know is that her ancestor was in actuality a vampire countess, who emerges from her tomb to ravage the nearby village and Catholic seminary. The film featured Hammer-esque visuals as well as nudity. Set comes in original mailing envelope w/German text. Envelope contains 18 glossy 9.25x11.75" paper lobby cards, three of which are text only (likely for theater use). Envelope also contains two 11.75x18.75" glossy window cards featuring cartoon images from film, especially bats. One card features bw scene from film. Lobby cards (w/images) feature great scenes from film, including helicopter emblazoned w/bat/skeleton logo, bare-breasted female vampire about to be staked, vampire woman dancing w/skeleton, and more. Lobby cards have lt. handling wear and tiny pinholes at corners which are barely noticeable. VF-Exc. Window cards have horizontal fold at center as issued but are o/w Exc. Envelope shows moderate wear w/small tears/creases along margins. VG. Interesting and extensive film promotion.
