Item Description
Vintage 4.5x7x2.5" deep silver-plated thermometer display dates to 1893 and has patent date on underside, as well as Pairpoint Mfg. Co. of New Bedford, MA. maker's name and "Quadruple Plate" notation. Display features two wonderful figural Brownies figures, one perched atop display w/the other standing 3" tall at bottom right of base. Display has nice Nouveau designs, included incised floral pattern above where thermometer was attached w/two metal pins. Nice figural accent branch at lower left. Novelty thermometer holder has all over aging and patina. Fine overall.
