Item Description
First poster measures 15x21" and was issued in Ohio by the Department of Highways, as noted by text at bottom. 1942. Poster features keyring design and "This Is A War Of Transportation" and each key lists way to conserve - "Share The Ride, Budget Your Driving" and "Drive Slowly." Folded as issued, poster has 2" tears at left center and bottom center fold lines. Fine. Second poster (OWI poster No. 74) measures 20x28" and was issued nationally in 1943. Design features photo of packed train car, including some men in military uniforms. Text includes "Is Your Trip Necessary? Needless Travel Interferes With The War Effort." Folded as issued, poster has some tiny tears at fold creases intersections, o/w Exc.
