Item Description
Lot of three paper posters printed by Standard Oil of California in the mid-1940s. First poster features bw photo image of Marines on beach and was issued after VE Day. Text reads "Beating The Germans Doesn't Mean The End Of This War - These Boys Say 'Don't Forget Us!' - What Will Our Answer Be?" Second poster features "A Challenge We Eagerly Accept" design w/article on how Standard helped the war effort. These posters have been stapled on top of last poster, all having been attached to brown paper backing, likely as sample posters for Standard, or ones saved for company archive. Last poster features bw photos of beach supply landing, man fueling warplane and ship full of supplies, noting Standard's involvement in the process. Bottom margin has slightly uneven trim. VG/Fine. Other posters are Fine overall and all three have horizontal fold at center.
