Item Description
Three-panel folding cardboard triptych sign opens to 27x39" and features illustrated scene by artist who signed "Dewey." Sign was printed by The T.F. Moore Company of New York. Sign features three separate battle scenes, w/left panel showing soldiers looking down on city from hillside, center panel shows soldiers pushing cannon up out of muddy ditch, right panel features soldiers charging, one throwing grenade while another cuts barbed wire. Text reads "A Fighting Army Needs Lots Of Shoes - Lend The Way They Fight - Buy Liberty Bonds To Your Utmost." Panels have partially separated, w/tape repairs/reinforcements to back. Front of poster has some scattered color touch-ups along fold lines. Tape repair on reverse to 4.25" long tear by Dewey's name at bottom right of center panel. VG/Fine. From the Don Maris Collection.
