Item Description
1.5x3.5" ticker for "Radio Premier" of "Tarzan" which was for midnight, Sept. 10, 1932 performance at the Fox Pantages theater in Hollywood, CA. The show debuted on Sept. 12, this ticket was for an apparent live performance to hype the show's radio debut two days later. The "Tarzan" radio program starred James Pierce, the fourth actor to portray Tarzan and his eventual wife, Joan Burroughs, daughter of Tarzan creator Edgar Rice Burroughs. Ticket is NM. Rare. Comes w/five 3x3.75" bw photo cards showing the main characters of the "Tarzan Of The Apes" radio serial. Cards include - Tarzan, Jane Porter, Lt. Paul D'Arnot, Cecil Clayton and Philander/Professor Porter. Each card bears facsimile signatures of the actor(s) who portrayed each character. Cards were at one time mounted, all have .25" to .5" area of surface paper lift to top back center, Tarzan and Jane cards have 1" area of scrapbook paper remnants. None of this affects fronts' displays, which remains Exc. These photos were theater hand-outs. Rare and first we've offered in our 47 years.
