3-3/8x5.5" early 1900s postcard marked "Printed In Germany - D.R.G.M." features wonderful graphics of Santa Claus in Uncle Sam stars and stripes outfit, complete w/top hat. Santa has satchel around his neck which has two American flags in it. A soldier rocking horse toy is at Santa's feet and a doll sits underneath Christmas tree that Santa is decorating w/soldier ornament. Postcard features die-cut accents, that when held to light, illuminates "Christmas Greeting" text, lights/ornaments on tree, flags and ball strapped to Santa's waist. Wonderful design. Back has penciled inscription and card shows lt. wear/aging. Slightest margin trim to top edge which is only noticeable upon close inspection. Displays Exc. A rare and desirable piece.
