Item Description
12x20.25" frame contains original wide format photo showing cast of dozens including several women in showgirl-like outfits, numerous clowns (including four in fat, roly poly suits and six midget clowns in Chinese outfits), several band members wearing turbans (a few holding instruments), a few men in cowboy hats, a Native American performer wearing war bonnet, Ringmaster, large parade costume of stereotypical Chinaman at right and American flags at each end. The big top can be seen in the bkg. Nine performers have had their names written in ink at top (one at bottom), w/arrows pointing them out in the photo. Photo was taken by famed circus photographer E.J. Kelty (see following item #945), though only marked w/"Century" photography studio mark at lower left. Lower right has "Brooklyn, N.Y. May 14th 1932" notation. Photo has lt. even aging but as framed displays Exc.
