Item Description
Early 1930s. Pair of 11.25" tall felt-like stuffed dolls w/Mickey having pair of mother of pearl buttons on front and back of pants and Minnie w/pattern fabric skirt and felt flower attached to thread-covered wire. Both Mickey and Minnie have nice pie-eye accents and Mickey has black hand-threaded mouth while Minnie has red hand-threaded mouth. Both have original felt ears and are complete w/original string whiskers and thin fabric tails. Made by Needleart Toys and distributed by George Borgfeldt & Co. under their "Nifty" toys line name. Each doll has original Nifty Needleart cardboard tag still attached to wrist, each tag listing individual character name. Tags show just the slightest trace of wear and are Exc. Dolls have trace of scattered wear to surfaces of arms and have the slightest trace of aging but are o/w NM. Very rare and the first of either doll we have offered in our 47 years, yet alone in this stunning high grade and complete w/original tags. Easily among the highest quality Mickey and Minnie Mouse dolls made in the 1930s.
