Item Description
14.25x33.75" high quality wood frame contains original India ink art that has been professionally matted to 5.5x25". Four panels w/applied screen-tone shading have truck running into cab in first panel. Next three panels feature The Shadow removing his disguise as he tells cab driver Shrevie and Margo about Shiwan Kahn and Bathysphere invention. First panel has Ledger Syndicate copyright strip and "Vernon V. Greene E-60" ink signature. Clean and Exc. A prime example w/The Shadow and his alter-ego in one well-drawn original. Greene did every daily strip from beginning to end (June 17, 1940 to June 13, 1942) and also did the art on early 1940s Shadow comic book stories. Ready for display. From the Robert M.
