First book is for publicity and features "Synopsis," advertisement for colored enlargements, banner, window card, marquee hanger and has several features and reviews in newspaper style. Cover has large image of Lugosi w/hands raised over a crystal ball w/list of contents. Second book is for advertising and has similar cover design. Inside features several images of newspaper ads, lobby displays, posters, lobby cards and other forms of advertisement. Also featured are novelties such as an 11x12" "Return Of Chandu" mask that could be ordered (and customized w/theater imprint) and ads for premiums including invisible ink cards, balloons, magnifying glass and door/automobile hangers. Contents have loosened from top staple but are complete. Booklets are VF-Exc. Folder has some corner tip/edge wear. Fine. Comes w/Exc. example of the mask. A beautifully designed publicity package w/many images of Lugosi for this classic serial. Comes w/original release 11x14" title card for the serial, featuring a stunning image of Lugosi looming over a crystal ball. Corner tip wear w/some creases and sliver off bottom right corner. Still clean and Fine overall.
