Item Description
20X31". Big Liberty Bell graphic issued by Detmer Woolens. Retains monthly calendar sheets July through December. Red color on July has faded. December has 2x3" torn area where paper adhered plus missing 1x1" piece. The four other sheets are NM. Presidents Washington through Wilson are shown. Wilson caption reads "Professor/Inaugurated 1913/President/And Democratic Nominee/For Second Term/At Time Of Going To Press/Oct. 1, 1916." To right of Wilson, the Hughes caption reads "Lawyer/Republican Nominee/For President/At Time Of Going To Press/Oct. 1, 1916." Extreme edge has numerous nicks with .25" of margin off the right half of bottom half. The only repair on front is top left edge with tape on area 3.5" long by two pieces 1.5" deep. Minor spotting around large word "Woolens" at top right but vast majority is clean and with very pleasing color illustrations. For some reason, long ago, about 50 tape strips were scattered around on the reverse. Most are 1-2" long but there is no logical reason for them as the paper does not have tears (except upper front as noted). Reverse is titled "Valuable Official Information" with lists that include Presidents, Population, etc., but more interestingly: Baseball Pennant Winners American League 1900-1915, National League 1876-1915, World's Championships 1884-1915, Federal League Standing (apparently for 1915), Pugilistic Championships, World's Pacing Record and World's Trotting Records. Overall VG and extremely attractive. Spectacular potential with the proper framing it deserves. Only example we've seen.
