3.5x7x8.25" tall. Extensive text on bottom label titles "The Symbolic Elephant Of The Republican Party." It explains "Look At The Base. Read Those Words: 'Life Begins In '40.' One Gets The Vision That With The Advent Of '40 And The Grand Old Party Returned To Power, This Depression Will At Last Be Over, And The American People Live Happily Again." The label ends "Democracy Shall Not Die!" Three small 1/8" plaster rubs on one tusk and pair of shallow flakes off left side edge of rolled "Constitution" in elephant's trunk. Right side of base reads "©1939/A.D. Cookson/Green Bay Wis." Fine and scarce. Julie Powell Collection.
