Lot of six original 8x10" glossy publicity photos, four w/Shaw Artists Corporation, one w/Continental Booking Agency and one w/Circle Artists Corp. management info at lower right corners. c. late 1950s-early 1960s, three have inkstamp date on reverse. Performers include - Barbara Lynn (Jan. 25, 1963), best known for her hit "You'll Lose A Good Thing"; Dakota Staton, jazz vocalist who had 1957 hit "The Late, Late Show"; Ruth Brown (Feb. 17, 1959), Atlantic Records 1950s hitmaker whose fight for musicians' royalty rights led to the foundation of the Rhythm and Blues Foundation; gospel/R&B singer Marie Knight (March 28, 1962); Claudine Clark, best known for her 1962 hit "Party Lights" and Betty Everett, best known for her hit "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss)." Staton and Everett photos have "Maurice Seymour" photographer mark while Brown and Knight are marked "James. J. Kriegsman." Scattered lt. handling wear/aging. VF-Exc. overall.
