8x11". 192 page publication titled "Ecos De Belen" (Echos of Belen) published in 1944 by the Jesuit Belen High School in Havana in Castro's senior year. The book is rebound with hardcover stamped with title and date in gold on front and spine. A few interior margin tape stains, a few ink notations as to the pages referencing Castro, last two pages have two small holes restored as is lower corner of the title page. Overall VG. Filled with school related articles and photos, sponsor advertisements and photos of hundreds of boys in groups or individual photos from grade 1 through "4th Year Of High School" which includes Castro photo on page 146 with small inked "X" and inked drawn arrow. He also has a one line entry on page 130 "El Mejor Canastero En Basket Es Fidel" regarding his basketball skills, he is in a photo with three others on page 106 and on page 118 he is shown holding a basketball, identified by small inked "X" on his leg. Overall VG and certainly the original number published was quite small making this a rarity for a political figure known worldwide.
