Item Description
Original plain cardboard box w/illustrated end panel contains 17" tall well-made cloth doll w/starched linen face w/nice painted facial expression and yarn hair. Felt accents on fringes, shoes and chest piece. Stitched leatherette belt w/her name and back reads "Howdy Doody." Felt on chest depicts images that translate to her name and doll wears necklace w/matching plastic charms and glass marble, though designs have faded slightly. Ahmco Products Inc. c. 1950s. Legs/feet have moderate dust soiling but rest of outfit remains bright and clean. Two missing felt fringe accents. Doll o/w shows very lt. wear. Bright and VF. Box has 1.75x5.75" area of moisture staining to lid w/some scattered wear to surface paper. VF. Rare and only the second example of this doll we've seen in our 47 years and the first example we've been able to offer complete w/the even rarer box.
