June “Tarpe” Mills (1923-1988) was the first woman to create a female comic strip action hero. Miss Fury, based on Mills herself, ran from April 6, 1941 until 1952. Tom Fagin organized the annual superhero Halloween parade in Rutland Vt., and was featured in several comic book stories by Roy Thomas and Denny O’Neil. High quality and well done w/superb art.
