Auction #210 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1270 in auction 210
Item Description
While items with a similar construction are shown in DeWitt and Hake this image, more like an illustration than a photo, is unlisted. The sepia photo is in a slightly larger than typical brass shell frame measuring 1-1/16x1.25" tall. On the tin back is the original vertical 1-1/8" stickpin. On the background left of Lincoln is the slightest trace of a .5" hairline in the cardboard surface and at the very bottom is a tiny 1/16" area with just the slightest lifting of the surface paper. Both of these very small minor defects show very little and the overall appearance of the piece remains NM. c.1864. Rare and unusual.
