Item Description
Hake #139 from 1900. 2-1/8" beautiful design of lunch pail with brick factory building and 5 smokestacks belching fire and black smoke to symbolize prosperity. Captions on the pail are "Do You Smoke? Yes - Since 1896!" with text on lower rim "That's What McKinley Promised." Gorgeous unfaded color, nice all-over gloss, perfect centering. Missing W&H back paper but only second we've seen with original rwb fabric bow accent tied to top of the spring pin. Two small flaws. Left side edge has a .75" white hairline on the blue paper and reverse at same area has pair of .25" and 1/8" cello splits that make barely noticeable bumps on left edge. Still displays very well. Our last with no condition issues exceeded $2,000.00. Sen. Charles Dick Collection.
