Complete set of first 24 Presidents each in 7/8" size, stating name and years in office. All made by W&H and all company issued with W&H back paper, although also used as premium by American Pepsin Gum. All 24 include W&H button making patent dates. Overall, this is the second cleanest set we've offered with all buttons Exc. to Essentially Mint, the only exception a 1/8" gray mark on the background of Garfield. The set was produced in 1897 and was used by sponsors as giveaways or could be purchased directly from W&H for .50¢. Our last set realized over $500.00 in Auction #207. Rare in this condition.
