Item Description
8.5" tall with large heavy die-cut brass piece at the top showing spread wing eagle standing upon flag and shield and holding a ribbon in its beak. Text reads on this piece "Republican National Convention" with a brass loop suspending a brass medallion stamped with the serial number "133." This is likely a seat number in the press gallery. Below are crossed quill pens above the words "Press/St. Louis. 1896." Bottom has brass wire tassels. Bottom right corner of ribbon turns upwards slightly but overall in Exc. condition and a very rare limited issue. See Democratic Press 1896 ribbon #234. Rare.
