Item Description
10.75x13" w/16 pages on newsprint titled "Aurora Comic Section." This was a special insert for the Dec. 5, 1965 issue of "The New York Times." Front cover features 11 different comic panels for the various models featured in this publication plus notation of which page they appear on. Most pages are done in comic panel style. Contents are both bw and full color. One full color page is for the MAD Alfred E. Neuman model and includes monthly calendar for 1966, each month featuring different Neuman illustration. Other pages feature Jack Dempsey, Superman, George Washington, Babe Ruth, Johnny Unitas, page titled "The Monster Matchmaker" featuring Aurora's full line of monster kits, etc. Most of the comic panel pages feature a photo of the assembled kit. There are also two pages of company information including photos of kids and their favorite models plus quotes. Horizontal fold at center as issued. Spine margin is moderately aged and has pinch creases w/some small tears. Rest of insert has lt. age tanning but o/w remains clean. Fine. Scarce one day publication.
