Item Description
10.75x16" thin artboard featuring original pen and ink art by comic book artist Rich Buckler, best known for his 1970s work on Marvel Comics' "The Fantastic Four" and co-creating the character Deathlok w/writer Doug Moench. Buckler has drawn virtually every major character at Marvel and DC, often as a cover artist. Offered here is the original art for page 26 of "DC Comics Present" Annual #1, published by DC Comics in 1982. Issue was written by Marv Wolfman w/interior art and cover by Buckler and inks by Dave Hunt. Part of the "Crisis On Three Earths," this seven-panel page shows two different parallel worlds' Superman, flying side by side in three panels and seen together is six of the seven. Word balloon paste-overs in each panel. Inked editorial notations at top and bottom margins. Corners each have 1" clip, but this affects art/text in no way. Scattered handling wear/aging w/some white correctional fluid touch-ups, but if matted and framed, art would display VF. From the collection of comic book inker Dave Hunt.
