Item Description
Sizes are 5/8" to 1.25". Includes Presidential campaign buttons, a couple of locals, some for the Prohibition issue, and a few miscellaneous. Also see large groups of buttons featuring the word "League" as items #776 & 777. In this group the first four buttons are for McKinley. The first two have a bit of wear. The fourth is a rare "McKinley-Roosevelt First Voters League." Next is one for Bryan 1908, two for Theodore Roosevelt, two for Woodrow Wilson, one for Hughes. There are four picturing Franklin Roosevelt and three that include his last name. Last item in row three is a rare anti-Roosevelt button from a conservative group that wanted to overthrow his Presidency. In row four the last two items are from "Non-Partisan" leagues but basically these groups endorsed FDR. There are two buttons for Landon and one for Willkie. Also included is button for famous evangelist reading "'Billy' Sunday 4th P.C. Woman's League." Next is a local for "Taylor Good Government League." In bottom row the first two items were issued by Prohibition groups with the first having a back paper reading "Water Wagon League Balto., Md. Copyrighted." Next is from "Anti-Saloon League Of America/We Have Just Begun To Fight." Both of these are rare items. Next two items are from the liquor industry sponsored anti-Prohibition movement with group title of "Personal Liberty League." Next promotes "A League Of Nations" and last two are for the "Nonpartisan Farmer/Laborer League." All are in Exc. to Mint condition except as noted.
